Embodiment Construction

[0023] The present drawings are not to scale showing the means for optimal energy storage and recovery of thermal wells, and are schematic, showing the general structure and operation of a preferred embodiment. Structural elements indicated by reference numerals in the figures then correspond to structural elements identified by reference numerals in the present description.

[0024] according to figure 1 and figure 2 A first embodiment of the device comprises a heat accumulator 1 having a central reservoir 2 surrounded by wells 3 arranged in a circular manner. In this embodiment, the circular portions are advantageously arranged substantially concentrically, wherein there are two or more circular portions 4 . figure 1 Three circular sections are shown by way of example, and figure 2 Two circular sections surrounding the central reservoir are shown. Such as figure 1 As shown, there is one well in the middle of the field that forms the central reservoir and is surrounded...

Abstract

The present invention relates to an arrangement and method for optimal energy storage and recapturing of thermal wells. Such an arrangement consists of an underground centre storage (2, 12) and bore wells (3) surrounding it in a substantially concentric and circular manner, there being two or more of such circles (4). The centre storage and bore wells are arranged to be in flow communication witheach other by means of a pipe line (6) and with one or more heat sources (9) leading thermal energy to the system, the circles being provided with valves (8) to lead fluid transfer fluid to one circleof part thereof at a time.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device according to claim 1 , by means of which underground thermal wells used as heat accumulators can be replenished and harvested with optimum thermoeconomic efficiency. [0002] The invention also relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 4, by means of which such optimal storage and retrieval can be achieved. Background technique [0003] Storing thermal energy is becoming more and more important, making the potential of solar energy even more feasible. At northern latitudes, especially in regions such as the Nordic countries and the northernmost regions of the United States, where solar power is often only available in summer and heating demand is highest in winter, viable storage plays an important role. Various technologies for storing thermal energy have been the target of many studies over the past decades. In the above work, most of the experience gained from storing energy and utilizing geothermal h...
