Abstract

The invention discloses a map construction and positioning method, a client, a mobile robot and a storage medium. The method for annularly constructing the map comprises the following steps: selectinga first map segment and a second map segment which are constructed by utilizing a first map construction mode from a plurality of map segments; wherein the plurality of map segments are constructed by using at least one map construction mode, and the first map segment and the second map segment are separately constructed based on an interruption condition detected by the mobile robot; and fusingthe first map fragment and the second map fragment into one map fragment according to the pose deviation of the two map positions describing the same physical space in the first map fragment and the second map fragment. According to the method, the problem that the error of the map constructed by the mobile robot is relatively large due to the influence of the interruption condition is effectivelyreduced; and a plurality of independently constructed map segments are fused, so that the aim of integrating the plurality of map segments by the mobile robot is fulfilled.
