Abstract

The invention provides a loop detection method and device. The method is applied to a first leaf node, and the first leaf node is located in an Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN). The method comprises the following steps: the first leaf node receives a free ARP message sent by a two-layer network device through a local first port, wherein the free ARP message comprises an ARP header, and theARP header comprises a first IP address; the first leaf node judges whether the first IP address is the same as a second IP address of the first leaf node or not; if so, the first leaf node judges whether the first IP address is an EVPN distributed gateway address or not; and if so, the first leaf node sends loop alarm information.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of communication technologies, and in particular to a loop detection method and device. Background technique [0002] The extensible virtual local area network (Virtual eXtensible LAN, VXLAN for short) network virtual machine technology is a technology based on an IP network that adopts the encapsulation form of "MAC in UDP" to realize a Layer 2 VPN. On the basis of VXLAN, the EVPN control plane uses MP-BGP to notify the host address (MAC, IP) and host routing information attached to the leaf node (leaf), which can greatly reduce the number of Ethernet virtual private network (English: Ethernet Virtual Private Network, Abbreviation: EVPN) address resolution protocol (English: Address Resolution Protocol, abbreviation: ARP) core network bandwidth occupation of broadcast packets. [0003] If the user misuses the network, there is a loop in the host connected to the leaf: for example, there is a loop in the ho...
