Abstract

The invention relates to a system and a method for measuring the geometric size of corn cobs in a field. The measuring system comprises a multi-camera probe array, a connecting piece, an unmanned aerial vehicle and a camera remote controller, wherein the multi-camera probe array is connected with the unmanned aerial vehicle through the connecting piece; the unmanned aerial vehicle is used for adjusting the shooting position of the multi-camera probe array; the multi-camera probe array comprises a plurality of cameras which are linearly arranged at intervals; and the camera remote controller isin wireless connection with a plurality of the cameras, and a plurality of the cameras are used for synchronously acquiring images of corn cobs to be tested under remote control of the camera remotecontroller. The system adopts the principle of computer vision based on the plane design of the unmanned aerial vehicle, images the corn cobs once through the multi-camera array and constructs a high-precision three-dimensional model of the corn cobs in the field to efficiently and accurately measure the geometric size of the corn cobs in the field.
