The liquid crystal display panel is provided with a plurality of pixel units, wherein eachpixel unit comprises a first area and a second area; the first area is provided with a red sub-pixel electrode, a green sub-pixel electrode and a blue sub-pixel electrode; the second area is providedwith a white sub-pixel electrode; each pixel unit is also provided with a first common electrode and a second common electrode; each sub-pixel electrode and the first common electrode of the first area are positioned on different layers and are vertically arranged; the white sub-pixel electrode and the second common electrode of the second area are positioned on the same plane; and a color film substrate is provided with a visual angle control electrode by corresponding to the position of the white sub-pixel electrode. Through the liquid crystal display panel, the pixel unit is divided into the first area and the second area, during wide-visual-angle display, each sub pixel participates in picture display, during narrow-visual-angle display, the white sub-pixel electrode of the second areadoes not participate in picture display so as to realize consistent luminance and contrast ratio of the wide visual angle and the narrow visual angle, and meanwhile, the penetration rate of the wide-visual-angle display can be improved.
