An embodiment of the invention discloses a network selection method that is applied to a terminal with a virtual SIM. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a universal resident number corresponding to the virtual SIM; registering and opening an account on at least two operator networks through the universal resident number; and when a residing instruction is received, selecting one operatornetwork from the at least two operator networks as a residing network based on network performance of the at least two operator networks.
