The gearbox control method comprises the steps that after self-adaptive cruise is started, a deceleration control signal of self-adaptive cruise is detected in real time; according to the deceleration control signal, the cruising condition of a vehicle is determined; when the vehicle is in a cruising acceleration or cruising constant speed condition, gear and clutch control is conducted according to a conventional mode; the conventional mode is a gearbox control mode when self-adaptive cruise is not started; when the vehicle is in a cruising deceleration condition, whether the vehicle is in an emergency braking state or not is determined; if not, gear and clutch control is conducted according to theconventional mode; if yes, a clutch is controlled to be separated; and when the vehicle is in a cruising parking condition, wriggle idle speed control of an engine is forbidden in an energy forbiddingmode, and the pressure of the clutch is controlled below the kisspoint.
