The method comprises the steps of calculating regional power grid new energyacceptance and consumption capacity considering peak regulation completion according to a power grid operating mode; enabling the new energy access capacity which is not greater than the regional power grid new energy acceptance and consumption capacity into each sub region power grid of the regional power grid; and when the new energy access capacity in each sub region power grid satisfies safetyand stability requirement, determining the regional power grid new energy acceptance and consumption capacity according to the new energy access capacity in each sub region power grid. By virtue of the method and the system, the main factors for limiting the new energy acceptance, such as constraint of peak regulation, constraint of safety and stability and the like, are taken into comprehensiveconsideration, so that reference and basis are provided for power grid dispatching operation and related policies issuing by the government.
