Abstract

The invention discloses a method and apparatus for calibrating a proximity sensor. The method includes the steps of moving a baffle disposed facing a proximity sensor to a position where the distancefrom the proximity sensor is greater than a first distance threshold; obtaining a first distance parameter obtained by the proximity sensor; comparing the obtained first distance parameter with a preset noise floor threshold; in the case where the first distance parameter is smaller than the noise floor threshold, moving the baffle to a second distance threshold, the second distance threshold being smaller than the first distance threshold; obtaining a second distance parameter measured by the proximity sensor; and comparing the obtained second distance parameter with the first distance parameter; and in the case where the second distance parameter is greater than the first distance parameter, determining the proximity sensor as a good product. According to one embodiment of the invention,the calibration speed and accuracy of the proximity sensor are improved.
