Abstract

The invention relates to a method for enabling a container host to be compatible with mirror image files of a virtual host. The method comprises the steps of mapping the mirror image files of the virtual host to a virtual hard disk by utilizing a first running instruction; mapping all the files in the virtual hard disk into a first folder of a host machine by utilizing a second running instruction, wherein the first folder is any folder of the host machine; obtaining operation system files of the virtual host from the first folder; and by utilizing the operations system files of the virtual host, starting the container host. The mirror image files of the virtual host are mapped to the virtual hard disk, and then all the files in the virtual hard disk are mapped into the first folder of the host machine. The first folder serves as a root directory of the container host, the operation system files of the virtual host are obtained from the first folder, and the container host is started by utilizing the operation system files of the virtual host. In the whole process, the container host already can be compatible with the mirror image files of the virtual host, and can execute corresponding actions after being started.
