The stroke order correction method is used for the terminal device having a displayer and a writing track detection device.The stroke order correction method comprises the following steps: detecting writing tracks in a first region through the writing track detection device, wherein the first region is a planar region, within the effective detection range of the writing track detection device, in a writing region; according to the writing tracks, obtaining a stroke order of a word written currently; judging whether the stroke order of the word written currently is correct according to a standard stroke order of the word written currently; and if the stroke order of the word written currently is not correct, displaying the word written currently on the displayer. According to the method above, since the words written in wrong stroke orders are displayed on the displayer of the terminal device in real time, a user can find the words visually and conveniently.
