Abstract

The invention discloses an industrial SDN network data transmission method and system capable of supporting packet header compression. The method includes: in a transmission preparation stage, an edge switch receives and forwards data to a controller, and the controller distributes an identifier ID for non-real-time data and sends a distribution result to a switch on a transmission path in the format of a flow table; and in a data transmission stage, the edge switch directly performs forwarding operation on real-time data, performs packet header compression / decompression on the non-real-time data, and forwards the data after a packet header adds / removes the identifier ID. A core switch matches the real-time data with L2 layer packet header information, matches the identifier ID with the non-real-time data, and forwards the data according to a matching flow table. The system comprises a controller and a switch capable of realizing functions of compression / decompression of the data packet header and identifier adding / removing. According to the method and system, the bandwidth cost can be reduced, the data forwarding speed can be increased, the data transmission efficiency is improved, more network resources are reserved for real-time data transmission of an industrial network, and the overall transmission performance of the industrial network is enhanced.
