Abstract

The invention provides a method and apparatus for switching a network layer and relates to the technical field of communication. The method includes the following steps: acquiring motion track of a terminal and a triggering message which reflects link state; and on the basis of the acquired motion track and the triggering message, switching the network layer. According to the invention, the technical solution can make accurate determination on switching in combination with the motion track of the terminal, increases switching accuracy, senses state and event of a bottom layer in an in-time manner by acquiring the triggering message, switches the network layer swiftly, and reduces disconnection length of data communication.
