The monitoring system comprises a processor, a sulfur dioxide monitoring module, a carbon monoxide monitoring module, a nitrogen dioxide monitoring module, an airborne particle monitoring module, a receiving module, a display module and an early warning module, wherein the processor is in charge of setting threshold values of various air indexes, receiving information sent by other modules in the system and processing the information; and the sulfur dioxide monitoring module, the carbon monoxide monitoring module, the nitrogen dioxide monitoring module and the airborne particle monitoring module are in charge of monitoring information collection of air factors in an area, and the early warning module receives an instruction from the processor to perform early warning prompting. The monitoring system disclosed by the invention can provide data support for people to improve environment and air quality, prevent ecological damages and create clean and appropriate environments.
