Abstract

The invention relates to a method for recognizing difficulty in taking a taxi on basis of GPS data. The method comprises steps as follows: S1: taxi operation state data of each time period in one day of each region are acquired, wherein the operation state data comprise the number of taxis entering the region in an empty state within the time period, the number of the taxis having passengers to get off in the region and the number of the taxis having passengers to get on in the region; S2: the taxi-taking difficulty value in each time period in one day of each region is calculated; S3: the taxi-taking difficulty values are discretized into taxi-taking difficulty state indexes Sij; S4: a recurrent taxi-taking difficulty region is determined according to the taxi-taking difficulty state indexes in a longer time period (one month or longer) in each region. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the taxi-taking difficulty region can be recognized in real time according to real-time taxi GPS data, and a basis is provided for taxi dispatching; the recurrent taxi-taking difficulty region can be recognized according to historical data, and a basis is provided for reasonable distribution of taxi transport capacity and arrangement of taxi beckoning stations.
