Abstract

The embodiments of the invention disclose a method and an apparatus for monitoring whether a person's heart rate is normal, and relates to the technical field of remote monitoring. The method and apparatus of the invention can know body conditions of the person to be monitored on time. The method comprises: receiving heart rate value of the person to be monitored, the heart rate value being real-time recorded by a wearable device wore by the person to be monitored and being transmitted wirelessly; comparing the heart rate value received with the obtained in advanced and stored normal heart rate value or normal heart rate value range of the person to be monitored; and alerting the monitor if the received heart rate value is higher or lower than the normal heart rate value or normal heart rate value range preset threshold value of the person to be monitored. The apparatus comprises modules for executing the steps of the aforementioned method. The method and apparatus of the invention serve to monitor heart rate conditions of the person to be monitored, such as the old at home.
