A table control unit controls a table height mechanical lifting unit to realize height adjustment of the table; and the table height adjustment protection unit is used for guaranteeing the safety usage. A chair control unit controls a chair height mechanical lifting unit to realize height adjustment of the chair; and the chair height adjustment protection unit is used for guaranteeing the safety usage. In addition, the invention also provides a method for adjusting the heights of the table and the chair by using the table-chair-linkage-based intelligent height regulating device. According to the invention, heights of a table and a chair can be adjusted intelligently and safely in a linkage mode according to the height of a user and thus the heights of the table and chair meet the national standard and requirement.
