Abstract
The invention provides a method for evaluating soil quality by employing nematodes as biomarkers. The method comprises the following steps: 1. extracting, separating and identifying soil nematodes; and 2. calculating ecological indexes of soil nematode communities. The soil quality is evaluated by using common nematodes in the soil as the biomarkers; an evaluation standard with specific indexes and a reliable result is provided; and the method has great significance on soil environment monitoring. The method is supported by the national transgenic major project subject 'transgenic maize, wheat and soybean environment safety assessment technology (2014ZX08011003)'.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of soil quality monitoring, in particular to a method for evaluating soil quality using nematodes as biomarkers. Background technique [0002] Soil quality is generally defined as the ability of soil to maintain biological productivity, protect environmental quality, and promote healthy behaviors of animals, plants, and humans within the scope of ecosystems. The Soil Society of America (1995) defines soil quality as: the ability of soil to sustain plant and animal production, maintain and enhance water and air quality, and support human health and life within natural or managed ecosystem boundaries. Therefore, "soil quality refers to the sum of soil fertility quality for soil to provide plant nutrients and produce biomass, soil environmental quality for containing, absorbing and purifying pollutants, and soil health quality for maintaining human, animal and plant health. [0003] The soil quality evaluation index sys...
