Abstract

The invention provides a method for identifying RMB. The method comprises the following steps: collecting security features on the RMB to be identified; dividing the security features according to locating areas; setting the priority of each security feature in each identification area; calculating the similarity between each security feature and the standard security feature; judging the authenticity of each identification area according to the priority and similarity of the security feature, and if any identification area is judged to be counterfeit, the RMB is determined to be counterfeit. The method provided by the invention overcomes the problem of identification troubles caused by varied counterfeiting difficulties of each security feature on the RMB; the similarity between each security feature and the standard security feature is calculated through setting the priority of each security feature, so that the similarity result between the counterfeit RMB and the real RMB is obtained.
