The method comprises the following steps: judging a service fault of a first searching engine and acquiring a searching keyword for the first searching engine; generating a searching linkage of a second searching engine for the searching keyword; generating a searching result for the searching keyword according to the generated searching linkage. When the first searching engine presently used by a user is in service fault, the searching engine can be manually switched, and searching data can be displayed for the user. The operation is simple; the operations of manually re-inputting the keyword and manually switching the searching engine are not required; the searching data can be quickly acquired; time is saved.
