Abstract

The invention relates to a finger vein line restoration method based on gray scale neighbor and variance constraint. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining finger vein lines after refinement by use of an MRLT method, the top-hat transform of mathematical morphology and the hit-or-miss transform of the mathematical morphology; then positioning an initial position of a vein line fracture, and determining a candidate object point set according to the direction of the vein lines; next, bringing forward a gray scale neighbor criterion, and selecting a suspected object point from the candidate object point set; and finally, bringing forward an inter-class variance upper limit consistency criterion and a boundary constraint condition, discriminating whether the suspected object point is a lost object point, searching for the lost object point in an iteration mode, and restoring fractured finger vein lines. The method provided by the invention can effectively restore part of the fractured finger vein lines and thus finally improves the finger vein identification performance.
