Abstract

An automatic management system of an electric power meter is used for realizing unified monitoring and distributed management for electric power equipment in a manner that an electric power department transfers electric power system data acquired by industrial and civil electric power meters to centralized monitoring centers in localities, cities and provinces in real time. The system can be divided into three parts, i. e., a main station, a communication channel and acquisition equipment according to a deployment position, consists of electric power meter data acquisition points positioned in a power distribution center in the electricity bureau and electric power meter data acquisition points positioned in cells, and transfers electric power meter data through a GPRS / GSM network by utilizing the GPRS / GSM network. All electric power meters in the cells are firstly connected to an electric power meter centralizer, electricity consumption data of residents are transferred to the electric power meter centralizer by a multi-rate electric power meter via 485, the electric power meter centralizer is connected with a GPRS transparent data transmission terminal via an RS232 port, electric power meter data are sent to the GPRS data network of the China Mobile after being subjected to protocol encapsulation, and the data are transmitted to a power distribution data center through the GPRS data network, so that real-time online connection between the electric power meter data and a data center system is realized.
