Embodiment Construction

[0044] With reference to the cited figures, the invention relates to an auxiliary contact arrangement 1 for a medium voltage switchgear.

[0045] When installed in a medium voltage switchboard, the auxiliary contact device 1 is operatively connected with a linear actuator (not shown) of the main switchgear, that is, capable of linear movement in a direction 100 ( figure 1 ) is connected to an actuator that transmits translational movement.

[0046] The auxiliary contact device 1 includes a fixed contact subassembly 2 and a movable contact subassembly 3 .

[0047] Preferably, the fixed contact subassembly 2 includes a base 23 and a cover 24 connected to the base, thereby defining an inner space 10 for accommodating the movable contact subassembly 3 .

[0048] The stationary contact subassembly 2 comprises at least one pair of stationary contacts 21, which preferably have a first portion 211 located inside the inner space 10 and a second portion 212 located outside said inner s...

Abstract

The present invention discloses an auxiliary contact device for medium voltage switching apparatuses comprising a fixed contact sub-assembly comprising at least a pair of fixed contacts, a movable contact sub-assembly comprising at least a movable contact that is rotatably connected with said fixed contacts, an operating shaft comprising a first shaft portion, operatively coupled with a linear actuator, and a second shaft portion, operatively coupled with said movable contact sub-assembly. The first and second shaft portions of said shaft are coupled each other and move linearly together between a first position and a second position. The second shaft portion of said shaft is free to rotate with respect to said first shaft portion, between a third and fourth position.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to auxiliary contact arrangements for medium voltage (MV) switchgear such as circuit breakers, contactors, disconnectors and the like. [0002] For the purposes of this application only, the term "medium voltage" refers to equipment operating in the range of 1 to 50 kV. Background technique [0003] The use of auxiliary contact arrangements in medium voltage switchboards is well known. [0004] In medium voltage switchboards, auxiliary contact arrangements are usually operatively connected to the main switchgear. [0005] In particular, the auxiliary contact arrangement is connected to an actuating member of the main switching device and is driven by said actuating member to switch between different switching states corresponding to different switching states of the main switching device. [0006] Generally, the auxiliary contact device includes multiple pairs of fixed contacts and multiple movable contacts. [0007] Th...
