AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology describes a way that uses radio waves (Rayleigh or microwave signals) along rails to track vehicles' movements without being obstructed during their operation. It also includes a sensor called Radars Interference Detectors (Radioteletons), which helps gather important environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, snowfall levels, rainwater level, etc., overall, it provides technical benefits including improved accuracy, reliability, efficiency, flexibility, cost savings, and enhanced situational awareness capabilities.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem addressed in this patents relates to improving railroad security measures through continuous surveillance at critical section locations where potential hazards exist. Current methods have limitations because they require expensive infrastructure and involve complicated algorithms requiring long processing times. Additionally, traditional approaches involving radars suffer from interference caused by rainwater runoff near ground level structures like roads.

Embodiment Construction

[0049] The present invention will now be further described in conjunction with the embodiments and accompanying drawings:

[0050] The most intuitive and effective method for railway roadblock monitoring is imaging, and the driving speed is adjusted through image processing technology and the driver's judgment. The traditional imaging method is generally optical imaging, including infrared imaging, CCD camera and so on. As a road condition monitoring, the working distance that the optical imaging method can currently achieve is sufficient to meet the detection needs. However, optical imaging is greatly affected by the weather, and the imaging is seriously affected in harsh conditions such as rain and fog. Accordingly, it is possible to use the all-weather effect of millimeter waves to monitor road conditions in real time through radar detectors.

[0051] Considering that the train is running, it only needs to know whether there are obstacles in front of it that affect the dr...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device of railway roadblock detection and alarm based on radar return characteristics. When a train drives at a high speed, a radar detector abstracts the radar return characteristics of the front road surface in real time. According to information of the train position supplied by a global position system (GPS) inertial navigation system, a data processing and display and control and warning platform reads previous echo characteristic statistical data of the train at safe driving from a memorizer, and compares the train position information with the previous echo characteristic statistical data. If the echo characteristics have abnormal fluctuation, a system can send out a warning signal, and sufficient processing time is supplied to a driver on the premise of guarantee of a safe brake distance. A millimeter-wave radar related in the railway roadblock detection and alarm device is long in detection distance, and high in resolution ratio, can obtain information of the front road surface through real-time processing of the signals, can not be affected by weather and climate, is simple an practical in system, and can meet requirements for roadblock detection.
