Problems solved by technology

For tailings with less mud content, more than 50% of tailings with a particle size of +0.074mm and less than 30% of -0.037mm, disc vacuum filter or belt filter can be used for dehydration; and for mud with 25 %, -0.037mm accounted for more than 50% of the fine-grained tailings, dehydration and dry stacking is very difficult

Embodiment 1

[0016] 1) The fine-grained tailings with high sludge content produced by strong magnetic beneficiation are shown in Table 1. After being sent to the first thickener (1# thickener) for settlement, the overflow water and the underflow are respectively discharged. Return the flowing water to the pool for use as production water;

[0017] 2) After the underflow of step 1) is sent to the cyclone for classification, the top flow with high mud content and the underflow of fine-grained tailings above +0.045mm are separated;

[0018] 3). Send the high mud top stream of step 2) to the second thickener (2# thickener) to settle, separate the overflow water and the underflow, and return the overflow water to the pool for use as production water with a mass concentration of 40 After ~50% of the underflow is sent to the plate and frame filter press, the filtrate and filter cake are obtained. The filtrate returns to the second thickener (2# thickener) to settle, and the filter cake is transported ...

Abstract

The invention provides a method for treating high-mud-content fine-graded iron tailings. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: feeding high-mud-content fine-graded iron tailings into a first-stage thickener for precipitating to separate overflow water and bottom current out; feeding the bottom current into a cyclone for grading into high-mud-content top current and fine-graded tailing bottom current out; feeding high-mud-content top current into a second thickener for precipitating to separate overflow water and bottom current out, feeding the bottom current to a plate and frame filter press for treating to obtain filtrate and a filter cake, returning the filtrate to the second thickener for precipitating, and feeding the filter cake to a storage yard for piling; and feeding the high-mud-content top current into the second thickener for precipitating, separating overflow water and bottom current out, feeding the bottom current to the plate and frame filter press for treating to obtain filtrate and a filter cake, returning the filtrate to the second thickener for precipitating, and feeding the filter cake to the storage yard for piling. Due to the adoption of the method, the problem of dehydration of the high-mud-content fine-graded iron tailings is solved, 0.3-0.6 ton of overflow water can be recovered additionally from every ton of tailings, dry piling of high-mud-content fine-graded iron tailings is realized, and the high potential safety hazard of dam-break is eliminated.

Description

[0001] Technical field [0002] The invention relates to a method for processing tailings, in particular to a method for processing fine-grained tailings with high mud content, and belongs to the technical field of mineral processing. Background technique [0003] Dry tailings pile is to dehydrate the pulp with a certain process and equipment to make it meet the requirements of direct stacking, and then stack it in a certain order. This dry tailing method has been used until now. Initially, people only considered from the perspective of environmental protection. When the tailings of toxic, harmful and radioactive minerals were dehydrated and dry piled, some of them needed to be buried deep or sealed. In recent years, some tailings ponds have been neglected to manage, or constructed in violation of regulations and standards, leading to dam-break accidents and causing great losses to people’s lives and property. Iron ore is a low-value mineral product with a high yield of tailings...
