Abstract

The invention discloses a method for planting and tilling and compacting green manure in advance in soil of a tobacco-growing area. The method comprises the following steps of: seed selection, sowing, fertilizer and water management, and tillage: selecting high-yield and early-maturing varieties of green manure such as smooth vetch, hairy vetch, common vetch or cow vetch, interplanting green manure seeds in a tobacco field by adopting a broadcast sowing manner in the tobacco-growing area at an altitude being below 1,200m during a picking and baking period of central tobacco leaves from August to early September, arranging matched canals and ditches to ensure drainage and irrigation, after green manure seedlings grow out, broadcasting common superphosphate and urea to promote the growth of green manure, and tilling the green manure into soil with the depth of 10-20cm in winter from December to next January, wherein green manure plants are not exposed to the outside after tillage. The method effectively solves the contradiction among the planting of the green manure in the tobacco-growing area, the tillage of frozen earth in winter and the 'three-priority' technology, improves the soil of the tobacco-growing area, and enhances the soil fertility, so that the quality of tobacco leaves can be improved steadily.
