The method comprises the following steps of: transmitting RGB (Red-Green-Blue) video signals through a video data pin of the VGA interface; transmitting left channel audio signals through either a vacant fourth pin or a vacant eleventh pin of the VGA interface; and transmitting right channel audio signals through the other one of the vacant fourth pin and the vacant eleventh pin of the VGA interface. According to the method, the audio signal transmission function is added through redefining the VGA interface under the premise that the video signal transmission of the VGA interface is not affected, and then, one audio wire can be reduced for the connection between devices, so that the cost is lowered and the operation is simplified.
