no. 1 approach

[0033] exist figure 1In , filter bags for industrial vacuum cleaners are generally indicated by 10. The outer membrane 11 of the bag is formed by two sheets of substantially square fine filter mesh superimposed on each other and heat welded to each other along a peripheral seam 12 . The bag has a width of 60 cm and a height of 70 cm. The upper central area of the bag is formed with a circular air inlet 9 which is connected to the membrane via an annular collar portion 13 .

[0034] The fine filter mesh 11 is a multilayer microporous filter structure used to keep fine brick dust and plaster dust. The screen is formed from known components and structures, and basically includes three layers stacked on top of each other. The inner (upstream) layer comprises about 17 g / m 2 A spun bonded polymer scrim layer. The middle layer (sandwich) is about 40g / m made of polypropylene fiber 2 Melt blown synthetic felt (meltblown synthetic felt). The outer (suction side) layer has a wei...

no. 2 approach

[0043] A second embodiment of a vacuum cleaner filter bag is in Figure 4A , Figure 4B , Figure 4C and Figure 5 Expressed as 110 in. The outer membrane 111 of the bag is formed by two sheets of generally rectangular fine filter mesh placed on top of each other and along a continuous peripheral junction 112 (see Figure 5 ) heat welding (by ultrasonic method). The bag has a width of approximately 60 cm and a height of approximately 72 cm. The upper central region of the bag is formed with a circular air inlet 109 connected to the membrane by a rectangular backing plate 113 . A rectangular resilient tongue 107 protrudes upwardly from the upper central region of the bag. The tongue can be clipped in a vacuum cleaner (not shown) to securely position the bag.

[0044] The fine filter mesh 111 is a multilayer microporous filter structure as previously described with respect to the first embodiment. Such three-layer filter membranes are known in the art and are available f...

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaning and in particular the collection of air-entrained debris, for example in a filter bag. The invention is a filter for use in vacuum cleaning apparatus, which comprises fine planar filtration means and coarse planar filtration means both being adapted to be placed in a suction- induced air stream with the coarse filtration means disposed upstream of the fine filtration means, wherein the fine filtration means serves to provide a fine filter for retaining dust particles and wherein the coarse filtration means comprises a relatively coarse filter material having a thickness of at least 4mm which provides a matrix volume in which dust may be collected. The fine planar filtration means may be a filter web arranged in the form of a collection bag. The volume occupied by the coarse filtration means comprises at least 2 %, preferably at least 5 %, most preferably at least 10 % of the maximum internal volume defined by the collection bag. The filter provides significantly enhanced fine dust collection capability, particularly for the grinding of brick or plasterwork where large amounts of fine ceramic dust are continuously generated and which tends to foul and degrade conventional filters.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaning, in particular the collection of airborne debris such as in filter bags. Background technique [0002] Household vacuum cleaners and upright vacuum cleaners are usually provided with a porous paper bag into which dust-laden air lifted from the floor or carpet is sucked by the vacuum drive. Cyclone separators are also well known in the domestic and industrial fields for separating airborne particles from a gas stream. [0003] Industrial and commercial box cleaners often avoid the use of bags for collection to avoid changing bags. In this case, dust is sucked from the floor surface into the tubular rod and collected directly in a bucket or bin rather than in a bag. A filter cup or filter layer can be used to cover the vacuum drive port, which is usually located in the upper region of the case. The bag prevents fine particles from escaping the box and fouling the vacuum drive (usually the combined ...
