The method for repairing the video data stream is applied in the video distribution function entity, and includes: obtaining the information of the user link and the user equipment; generating the forward error correction repair stream according to the information of the user link and the user equipment; transmitting the forward error correction repair stream to the user equipment in order that the lost video data stream can be repaired according to the forward error correction repair stream by the user equipment.
