Abstract

Disclosed is a method for adjusting strip steel transverse warping by using pinch rolls. The method can eliminate defect of transverse warping produced in actual production by optimizing roll shapes of the pinch rolls. Two pairs of pinch rolls in different roll shapes are arranged on a coiling machine; central lines of the two pairs of pinch rolls are in the same straight line; one pair of the pinch rolls 1 is disposed in front of the coiling machine and employs roll shape that an upper roll has positive convexity degree and a lower roll has no convexity degree; and the other pair of the pinch rolls 3 is disposed in the rear of the coiling machine and adopts the roll shape that an upper roll has positive convexity degree and a lower roll has negative convexity degree. When requirements on shapes of strip steels are not too high or transverse warping is not serious, the pinch rolls 1 work; when the transverse warping is serious, the pinch rolls 3 can work. Roll shape curves employ a second power function, and parabola of the second power function is determined according to transverse warping values in actual production. Accordingly, transverse warping defect is eliminated or minimized to an allowable range through the reverse regulation.
