Abstract

The invention provides a method, a system and user equipment for realizing advertisement insertion in an IPTV system. If advertisement needs to be inserted during the period of playing the current program on the user equipment, the method comprises the following steps: (a) during the period of playing the current program, a user terminal acquires and stores the insertion information of the relatedadvertisement of the current program from a system side, wherein the insertion information of the related advertisement comprises the time point information when the related advertisement is insertedinto the current program; (b) the user terminal stops playing the current program at the time point and simultaneously plays the related advertisement; and (c) after the related advertisement is played, the user terminal continues to play the current program from the time point.
