Problems solved by technology

The retry mechanism of the terminal is the synchronization retry behavior specified in the DCD business specification, including re-triggering the synchronization operation with a certain delay after the synchronization fails. The delay is specified as 5 minutes for the first time and 10 minutes for the second time. ...60 minutes after the third time; however, because the terminal does not report the failure reason, the DCD server cannot know the reason for the synchronization failure with the terminal, which is not conducive to the information exchange between the DCD server and the terminal

Embodiment Construction

[0037] The basic idea of the present invention is: a series of pre-defined error status codes are stored in the terminal and the DCD server. When it is judged as a fatal error according to the error status code, it will notify the terminal of the error type, error information and solution; when the DCD server judges it is a temporary error according to the error status code, it will notify the terminal to immediately implement the retry mechanism.

[0038] In the following, the present invention will be further described in detail through the accompanying drawings, that is, specific embodiments.

[0039] The present invention implements a method for processing synchronization failure in DCD services, wherein the processing method of the terminal is as follows: figure 1 As shown, the method includes the following steps:

[0040] Step 101: Before the terminal or server initiates synchronization, define a series of error status codes and store them in the terminal;

Abstract

The invention discloses a processing method and a system of synchronization failure in dynamic content distributing (DCD) service. A series of error status codes defined in advance are stored in a terminal. When the synchronization between the terminal and a DCD server fails, the terminal reports a corresponding error status code to the DCD server according to a failure reason; then the DCD server carries out processing according to the failure reason expressed by the error status code, and when the failure reason is an temporary error, the DCD server informs the terminal to immediately attempt synchronization so as to avoid that a synchronous process of a normal retry mechanism delays the time of data synchronization, and thereby, user experience can be influenced. Correspondingly, when the failure reason is a fatal error, the DCD server sends a fatal error message to inform the terminal to let a user terminate synchronization so as to avoid that the synchronization triggered by the retry mechanism continuously fails, and thereby, an information interactive condition between the server and a client side can be improved. Meanwhile, the invention also discloses a processing system of synchronization failure in DCD service.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to communication technology, in particular to a method and system for processing synchronization failure in dynamic content distribution services. Background technique [0002] The Dynamic Content Distribution (DCD) service is a service aimed at improving the information browsing experience of mobile terminal users. It updates the user's personalized and customized content to the user's terminal through the periodic download of the user terminal or the push of the DCD server. The DCD service greatly reduces the difficulty of content discovery and content acquisition, simplifies the user's operation mode, and enables users to obtain the most needed content conveniently and quickly. Since the data of the DCD service is regularly updated on the DCD server, it is also necessary for the terminal to synchronize with the DCD server periodically to update local data. [0003] After the terminal initiates the synchronization operation, t...
