Embodiment Construction

[0035] see figure 1 , the dotted line represents the delimitation of the diesel engine 1 equipped on the ship.

[0036] Obviously, if there are many engines, say 4, then the figure 1 Components in are replicated the same number of times.

[0037] The circulation of the coolant in the so-called high-temperature circuit is shown with solid lines, and the circulation of the coolant in the so-called low-temperature circuit is shown with dashed lines.

[0038] Additionally, equipment located on these two circuits bears a reference number followed by an initial A or B, corresponding to the high temperature circuit and the low temperature circuit, respectively.

[0039] Generally, throughout the description, reference numerals VA, CL, and VB denote a stop valve, a flow control valve, and a three-way regulating valve, respectively.

[0040] see figure 1 , reference numeral 10A denotes a hydraulic pump that ensures circulation of a high-temperature coolant such as water in componen...

Abstract

The present relates to ship equipped with thermal energy recovery means and related process. The present invention particularly relates to a ship equipped with: - at least one diesel engine (1) of which some internal parts (11A, 12A), even external parts, are cooled by a first so-called high-temperature liquid cooling circuit, whilst others (13B, 14B, 15B) are cooled by a second so- called low-temperature liquid cooling circuit, these circuits differing by the difference in temperature of the liquid entering said engine (1), - at least one item of equipment, separate from said engine (1), which consumes thermal energy, - recovery means (2) to recover at least part of the calories conveyed by the liquid in the high-temperature circuit, to supply heat to said equipment. It is noteworthy in that it further comprises recovery means (3) to recover at least part of the calories conveyed by the liquid in the low-temperature circuit, to supply heat to said equipment. The invention can greatly improves the energy balance for ships.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates in particular to a vessel provided with at least one diesel engine and at least one piece of equipment separate from the engine and consuming thermal energy. Background technique [0002] Today's ships (especially large tonnage passenger ships) are usually equipped with one or even several powerful diesel engines to propel the ship. [0003] As with any engine, some components contained in or associated with the engine are cooled by circulating coolant. [0004] In the specific case of marine diesel engines, there are two separate liquid cooling circuits, one called the higher temperature circuit and the other called the low temperature circuit. In some cases, the two loops may have a common part. [0005] The characteristic that essentially distinguishes these two circuits from each other is the temperature of the coolant entering the engine. [0006] The coolant in the high temperature circuit is at a higher temperature than ...
