Abstract

The invention provides a zoom optical system of a wide field angle and the reverse focal length, and is sequentially provided from front to back with: a first lens unit of negative light dioptric strength which is under the fixed state for zooming, a second lens unit of positive light dioptric strength, a third lens unit of negative light dioptric strength, a forth lens unit, a fifth lens unit of negative light dioptric strength, and a sixth lens unit of positive light dioptric strength which is under the fixed state for zooming. When the focal length of an L1 of the first lens unit is f1, and the air conversion reverse focal length is bf and the focal length of the whole system of a wide angle end is fw, the following condition can be satisfied: 1.7 less than bf / ((f1).fw)< 1 / 2 > less than 2.3. By satisfying the condition, while the zoom optical system of the wide field angle and the reverse focal length seeks the miniaturization of the whole lens system, each aberration caused by zooming can be modified well, and the whole picture has good optical performance.

Description

[0001] The present invention is a divisional application of patent application No. 200410056597.8 filed on August 11, 2004, entitled "Zoom Optical System, Projection Optical System, and Image Projection Device Using the System". technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a zoom optical system or a projection optical system, for example, a projection optical system suitable for an image projection device that enlarges and projects an original image onto a screen (projection surface). Background technique [0003] Conventionally, various liquid crystal projectors (image projection devices) using an image display element such as a liquid crystal display element and projecting an image (original image) displayed on the display element onto a screen surface (projection surface) have been proposed. [0004] In particular, liquid crystal projectors are widely used in conferences and presentation halls as devices capable of projecting images from a microcomputer or the...
