Embodiment Construction

[0082] Fig. 1 is a schematic block diagram of a mobile communication terminal 100 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The transceiver 110 communicates with the base station 102 via the antenna 103 and the first wireless communication link 104 . The base station 102 communicates with other mobile communication terminals 105 via a mobile communication network 106 and with fixed terminals 107 via a public switched telephone network (PSTN) 108 . Transceiver 110 may be configured to operate in various frequency bands, such as 880-915MHz and 925-960MHz (GSM900), 1710-1785MHz and 1805-1880MHz (GSM1800), 1850-1910MHz and 1930-1990MHz (GSM1900), 1885-2025MHz and 2110-2200MHz (UMTS). It should be understood that there may be other equivalent frequency bands according to the specifications of the network in which the mobile communication terminal 100 will operate. Controller 120 is coupled to transceiver 110 . The controller 120 may include a signal processin...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method used for providing international telecommunication numbers from a mobile communication terminal (105) for a base station (102), wherein, the international telecommunication numbers comprise a plurality of numbers at least corresponding to country codes. The method comprises that: a control unit (200) of the mobile communication terminal (105) receives a plurality of numbers that identify a user terminal in a communication network and confirm whether one or a plurality of number(s) correspond(s) to the country codes, if not, the international telecommunication numbers are created by adding the country codes to a plurality of numbers. Therefore, the international telecommunication numbers are sent to a base station (240) or stored in a telephone (340).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to mobile communication terminals, and more particularly, to methods and apparatus for facilitating communications through mobile communication terminals while roaming. Background technique [0002] As the use of mobile communication terminals increases, many people have the opportunity to connect with each other virtually anytime and anywhere. This contact can take the form of, for example, a voice call or a short text message. Examples of systems for providing such mobile services are DAMPS, PCM, GSM and UMTS. [0003] A person using a mobile communication terminal registers the terminal in the home network the first time he or she uses the terminal to make eg a telephone call. Said home network usually extends at least within the borders of the country in which the user registers his mobile communication terminal. In the case that the user of the mobile communication terminal travels abroad, the home networ...
