Abstract

A washing machine is provided to prevent improper stop of operation when being incapable of unlocking the lid during operation by locking the lid for restricting the upper lid from opening in rotating the drum and by automatically unlocking the lid in stopping the drum. A washing machine is operated continuously by setting the flag when the lid is incapable of unlocking in spite of automatically releasing locking of the lid during operation of the washing machine(S32-S34). Locking of the lid of the washing machine is not released in setting the flag during operation of the washing machine(S31). Unlocking of the lid is performed in finishing operating or pressing the lid opening key, and operation is finished by alarming the error in case of disablement of release(S37-S39). Operation is stopped considering safety, and the alarm is output when being incapable of locking the lid while operating the washing machine(S24-S26).
