Abstract

A single carrier transmitting system and a method thereof are provided. The system comprises: a scrambling code unit for scrambling a transmitted TS; an FEC unit for performing forward error correction on the scrambled TS to form a coded TS; a modulating information generation unit for generating modulating information; a multiplexer unit which receives the coded TS, segment synchronization information, bit segment synchronization information and the modulating information, and inserts the segment synchronization information and / or bit segment synchronization information and the modulating information to a starting position of the coded TS based on a control signal to form a multiplex TS containing a frame synchronization region and a data region; a radio frequency converter for performing radio frequency conversion on the modulated TS. The single carrier transmitting system is capable of reducing distortion of transmission signals in a channel environment where a burst noise exists, and improving the receipt efficiency of a receiver.
