Problems solved by technology

Global-scale assessment of hydropower generation due to the lack of hydropower station characteristic data and hydrometeorological series, related research is difficult to carry out
[0004] The lack of a global hydropower database and a global hydropower model prevents detailed analysis of the potential impact of climate change on hydropower energy, and also hinders the application of multi-source remote sensing data in global hydropower energy monitoring

Embodiment

[0051] Such as figure 2 Shown, the global hydropower capacity assessment method of the present invention comprises the following steps:

[0052] S1. To collect data of hydropower stations around the world, we can mainly use the currently public reservoir energy databases, such as the World Power Plant Database (https: / / datasource.kapsarc.org / ), the Global Power Plant Database (http: / / datasets.wri.org / ), Global Reservoir Dam Database (GRanD, http: / / globaldamwatch.org / data / ); in addition, it can also collect and improve hydropower station records and basic information from various scattered data sources, such as Baidu Encyclopedia , Wikipedia and other HTML data sources, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization statistical database (http: / / www.fao.org / ), clean development mechanism projects and journal papers, etc.

[0053] By matching and integrating information from various data sources, a relatively complete list of hydropower stations and their basic attribute...

Abstract

The present invention proposes a global-scale hydropower generation capacity assessment method based on the global hydrological model. The method includes collecting hydropower station information and building a global hydropower station database; comparing with the characteristic information of the embedded reservoir in the global hydrological model to obtain the reservoir capacity of the hydropower station Sequence; extract the runoff sequence at the dam site simulated by the global hydrological model; determine the power generation flow of the hydropower station; calculate the power generation head of the hydropower station according to the dam height, maximum head and reservoir capacity of the hydropower station; simulate the global hydropower production. The method of the invention overcomes the dependence of traditional hydropower simulation on detailed characteristic data of the power station, and can estimate the power generation flow and power generation head of the hydropower station only based on the hydropower station database and hydrological model, and then simulate and evaluate the hydropower generation capacity on a global scale. This method can be applied to assess the potential impact of climate change on hydropower energy, and can also be coupled with meteorological remote sensing data to achieve dynamic monitoring and prediction of global hydropower production.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of hydropower energy, in particular to a method for evaluating global-scale hydropower generation capacity based on a global hydrological model. Background technique [0002] Water energy resources refer to energy resources such as water body kinetic energy, potential energy and pressure energy, which are generated by using flowing natural rivers and water level drop. As a renewable and clean energy, hydropower is currently one of the main energy sources widely used in the world, and its greenhouse gas emissions per kilowatt of power generation are much smaller than those generated by fossil fuel power generation (IHA, 2018). In 1973, the global hydropower production was 1296TWh; in 2016, this value continued to climb to 4170TWh, hydropower accounted for 67.1% of all renewable energy power generation; in 2017 alone, hydropower installed capacity climbed 1.7%, of which my country accounted for nearly 50%.
