Benefits of technology

This patented technology helps evaluate how well an oxide material used for cables works when subjected to strong alternating current (AC) or low voltages during normal use without getting damaged due to electrostatic discharge damage from other conductors nearby. It also predictes if there will be any cracks that may occur on these layers after long periods of time. By doing this, it ensures reliable performance even with complex environmental factors such as lightning strikings or rainwater impact. Additionally, the device has been tested repeatedly at different temperatures ranging between room temperature and extreme cold environments, which indicates its ability to maintain their effectiveness despite being exposed constantly above certain levels of stress. Overall, this technical solution provides improved protection against corrosion and cracking of cables' outer layer while still providing effective monitoring capabilities.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution describes how severe environmental factors can affect the lifetimes or reliability of electronic devices' components like copper wires. These issues include degradations caused by heat stress during use, which could lead to failure if left untreatable through continued exposure to extreme temperatures. To prevent this from happening, researchers focus on studying the behavior of these materials after being exposed to AC/DC pulsive voltages.

Abstract

The invention discloses an aging evaluation method for the superconducting insulating materials based on a composite electric field. On the basis of a cumulative damage method, the insulation state ofan insulating material for a high-temperature superconducting direct-current cable is evaluated effectively. The method comprises: preparing an epoxy resin test sample based on pin-plate electrode; carrying out experiment by using an electric branch experiment system device in a low temperature environment; observing the aging condition of the sample electric branch under an electric branch observation device; and then carrying out calculation by using the Matlab language. Therefore, the aging evaluation of the superconducting insulation material under the composite electric field is realized; a problem of the electric tree branch aging of the insulating material due to continuous increasing of the transmission capacity of the power grid, continuous improvement of the voltage level and the complication of the external environment is solved; and the safe and stable operation of the power system is guaranteed effectively.
