Through flooding stress on different magnolia germplasms, the phenotypic change of the magnoliaceae plants in the flooding process is observed and recorded, through the four indexes of the leaf color change, plant wilting condition, stem basal part change and survival rate change, thephenotypic change is quantitatively graded, a grade score standard and an evaluation scheme are formulated, then the flooding tolerance is comprehensively evaluated through the sum of all index scores, and an evaluation system is established. According to the method, the quick, easy and convenient evaluation system for the flooding tolerance of the magnoliaceae plants is established for the firsttime, flooding tolerance resources are evaluated and identified, the flooding tolerance grade of the magnoliaceae plants is determined, and the basis is laid for flooding tolerance seed cultivation of magnolia and flooding tolerance evaluation work of the large-scale magnolia germplasms.
