The video filtering method comprises the steps of receiving a playing request which controlsvideo playing, determining a target video from a to-be-played video according to the playing request and obtaining a configuration file; determining video attributes of each segment in the target video according to the configuration file, wherein the video attributes include sensitive attributes and normal attributes; and filtering segments with the sensitive attributes in the target video, and playing segments with the normal attributes one by one. Therefore, the effect that only video segments not suitable for watching in the to-be-played video are filtered and other unfiltered video portions are played normally is implemented, and the problem that a whole video involving in the video segments not suitable for watching is filtered completely in the prior art is solved.
