Problems solved by technology

They also obstruct breathing and should only be worn for short periods of time
[0008] Additionally, prior art clips would obscure the surgeon's field of view for postoperative swelling, bruising, inflammation, ulceration, etc., and make it difficult to assess surgical outcomes
Prior art clips also require external bandages and tapping, making them bulky, uncomfortable to wear, very obtrusive, and visually conspicuous
Thus, the clips of the prior art are cosmetically unacceptable and unpopular with many patients, which reduces compliance and increases postoperative complications, and compromises the end result

Embodiment Construction

[0036] figure 1 A perspective view of an embodiment of a nose clip device 1 is provided. The nose clip 1 is made of thin plastic material with a ridge (to simulate the back of the nose) 4 connecting two nasal wall panels 5 to clamp onto each side of the patient's nose. The nasal wall panels 5 are biased inwardly so that they exert a slight force on the patient's nose, thereby holding the nose clip in its correct position during use. The nose panel 5 is substantially straight or convex or inwardly concave. exist Figure 1 to Figure 7 In the embodiments, they are substantially straight or curved outwards, and their side edges 7 are preferably rounded, as in figure 1 , figure 2 and Figure 4 as seen in also, Figure 1 to Figure 7 The embodiment of the nose clip shown in is made from a single piece of material so it has a uniform structure.

[0037] as attached Figure 1-6 As seen in , the nose clip 1 also includes two bilateral nose bridge supports 3 . The nose bridge ...

Abstract

Described herein is a transparent nasal splint to be worn externally after a trauma, nasal surgery or nasal injection. The nasal splint has two nasal wall panels that are bridged together at a spine having an inverted-u shape as a cross section. The nasal wall panels are inwardly biased to apply compression and to grip onto the nose. The nasal splint is made of semi-rigid material having suitableresiliency to allow moving of the nasal wall panels in an outward direction and to provide for the inward bias of the nasal panels when the nasal splint is in use. The splint may have a nasal spine made of springs(s) or hinge(s) having suitable resiliency to allow moving of the nasal wall panels in an outward direction and to provide for the inward bias of the nasal panels when the nasal splint isin use. The splint is also made of suitable material and design which render it being inconspicuous or not visually obvious.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a nose clip. More particularly, the present invention relates to a nose clip that is worn externally on the nose of a patient following trauma, surgery or surgery to improve the outcome or appearance of his nose. Background technique [0002] Rhinoplasty is the correction, reconstruction, or cosmetic enhancement of a patient's nose as a result of trauma or elective surgery. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty is a procedure that uses injectable filler substances to cosmetically enhance the shape of a patient's nose without invasive surgery. "Natural rhinoplasty" is an attempt to reshape the nose without any surgery or needles. [0003] After injectable rhinoplasty, there is usually mild to moderate swelling, with occasional subcutaneous bleeding and bruising. It is also common for the filler to not be injected where expected or to be injected asymmetrically. Surgeons, as well as patients, want nose clips that help reduce swelling, brui...
