Abstract

The invention discloses a water heater having a power generation system. A thermoelectric conversion module and a heat conductive device are arranged in the water heater; the thermoelectric conversion module has a thermoelectric conversion chip; the thermoelectric conversion chip has a heat connection point and a cold connection point; one end of the heat conductive device is connected to a heat exchanger of the water heater in a heat conductive manner, and the other end of the heat conductive device is connected to the heat connection point of the thermoelectric conversion chip in a heat conductive manner; the cold connection point of the thermoelectric conversion chip is connected to a cold water joint conductor arranged on a cold water pipeline in a heat conductive manner; and when the water heater burns, a surface of the heat exchanger generates a high temperature, the high temperature is conducted to the heat connection joint of the thermoelectric conversion chip through the heat conductive device, a potential difference is generated between the heat connection point and the cold connection point of the thermoelectric conversion chip, and the voltage is transmitted to a power storage module and an igniter through wires.
