The method comprises the steps of receiving a to-be-displayed image, wherein image data of the to-be-displayed image is expressed by an RGB color mode; determining a memory color area in the to-be-displayed image; performing RGB color mode-to-RGBW color mode conversion on the to-be-displayed image, so as to acquire image data of the to-be-displayed image in the RGBW color mode; and using a Gamma graph to adjust brightness of pixels in the memory color area of the to-be-displayed image in the RGBW color mode.
