Abstract

Disclosed are a positioning method, device, apparatus, and system. The method comprises: when a positioning apparatus needs to be positioned, determining whether a current location of the positioning apparatus needs to be updated; obtaining WiFi hotspot data near the current positioning apparatus when the current location of the positioning apparatus needs to be updated; uploading the WiFi hotspot data to a positioning server so that the positioning server obtains first location information according to the WiFi hotspot data, and updates the current location of the positioning apparatus according to the first location information when a preset condition is met and returns a GPS positioning start command when the preset condition is not met; enabling a GPS positioning module when obtaining the GPS positioning start command returned by the positioning server; and disabling the GPS positioning module when second location information is obtained by means of the GPS positioning module, and sending the second location information to the positioning server so that the positioning server updates the current location of the positioning apparatus according to the second location information.
