Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for updating information of a phone number, a terminal device and a server. The method comprises: a called phone number dialed by a calling user as well as voice information received after dialing a called phone number is obtained; first attributed information of the called phone number is obtained from the voice information; and the called phone number and the first attribute information are sent to a server, so that the server updates second attribute information of the called phone number in a data base according to the first attribute information. According to the embodiment, the attribute information of the called phone number is obtained by the voice information received after dialing the called phone number by the calling user; and then the attribute information is sent to the server for updating. Therefore, the server can obtain the correlated information of the phone number timely, accurately, and conveniently and thus the information of the phone number in the database can be updated timely and accurately.
