Abstract

One embodiment of the invention discloses a storage resource distribution method and a storage resource distribution system. The method comprises a storage resource distribution request is received (carrying service type and service characteristic data); a resource distribution algorithm in accordance with the target service is selected from preset resource distribution algorithms on the basis of the service type of the target service; the service characteristic data of the target service is input and calculated with the selected resource distribution algorithm so that storage resource configuration data is obtained; then the storage resource in accordance with the storage resource configuration data is distributed by an instruction storage system. By use of the method and system, storage resource is automatically distributed to each service in a service system so that resource distribution efficiency is increased.
