The disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for adjusting volume, and a terminal. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring environment sound information when an audio is played; and adjusting playing volume of the audio according to the environment sound information. According to the method, the environment sound information is acquired, and then the playing volume of the audio is correspondingly adjusted according to the environment sound information. The environment sound information reflects an environment noise condition at present, through adoption of the method and the apparatus of the present invention, a user does not need to manually adjust the volume, the playing volume can be adjusted through the environment sound information, thus convenience is brought to the user.
