Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for collecting performance parameters of virtual machines, which are used for collecting the performance parameters of a plurality of virtual machines in an entity machine, wherein the method comprises the following steps of collecting the performance parameters of each virtual machine at a virtual machine side by utilizing a parameter collector corresponding to an operating system of each virtual machine; transferring the performance parameters to a parameter concentrator in the entity machine at each virtual machine side by utilizing the parameter collector; and writing the received performance parameters according to the collection time of the performance parameters and storing in a document of the entity machine at the entity machine side. According to the method and the system which are provided by the invention, through collecting the performance parameters of different operating systems, parameters at each virtual machine layer are simply and conveniently collected, and the purposes of unified collection, comparison and recording are achieved; meanwhile, a technician in the related area develops, analyzes and utilizes each virtual machine layer conveniently.
