Abstract

The invention discloses a portable system (10) for collecting samples in exhaled gas of a subject to detect or determine drug substances in the exhaled gas. The samples are collected for further analysis by mass-spectrography. The portable system comprises a sampling unit (14) and a housing (12) configured to accommodate the sampling unit (14); the sampling unit (14) is suitable for collecting nonvolatile and volatile compounds of at least one drug substance from the exhaled gas of the subject; the housing (12) is provided with at least one inlet (15) and at least one outlet (16), the inlets (15) allow the subject to exhale the gas to the housing (12) and to the sampling unit (14); the outlets (16) allow the exhaled gas to leave.
